Salak Khok Resorts

Sitting to the south east of the Koh Chang is the small fishing village of Salak Khok. The main village is located a small way inland and is connected to the sea by a narrow river. The landscape is mostly used for fruit orchards and rubber plantations and the coast is mostly rocky with sandy patches and has mangroves growing down to the shoreline.

Salak Khok has one of the best-preserved mangrove forests in all of Thailand. This is an ideal place to take a long-tail boat or kayak for a paddle and enjoy and afternoon picnic. A concrete bridge has been built through parts of the mangrove forest. Visitors can find out information about the environment and the animals living there from information signs posted along the bridge.
